By Board of Director Sal Rivieri
March 8, 2010

On Saturday, March 6th a 36 inch water main broke affecting the Reisterstown area of Baltimore County. This water main break left about 100,000 homes, schools, and businesses without water for 5 days. A water distribution center was set up at the Reisterstown Sports Complex at 301 Mitchell Dr. Residents were able to come get potable water for drinking and non-potable water for use in their homes. On Monday, Kingsville responded with Tanker Truck 488 to help supply non-potable water. Tanker Truck 488 was at the water distribution center for 7 hours and supplied 5,000 gallons of water. The crew of Tanker Truck 488 was Lt. Gary Weer and FF/EMT Sal Rivieri.
