On Jan, 3 2010 at 1136hrs, neighboring units were alerted for the report of a dwelling fire at 4431 Kendi Rd. While en-route, E55 called heavy smoke from the distance requesting the working fire assignment. This brought S483. While responding command requested a 2nd alarm bringing E482. Upon the Squads arrival, the crew immediately went to work by placing a 2" attack line in service to assist with exterior operations. Shortly after, command advised crews to make an aggressive interior attack. 483's crew advanced the 2" into the dwelling to help knock the fire spreading in the attic and assisted with opening up the walls and ceiling. Due to heavy wind conditions, fire was rapidly spreading throughout the house forcing crews to once again go to exterior ops to knock the fire. Fire was placed under control and 483 and 482's crews went back in for mop up and to assist FID. 483 and 482 cleared the scene at 1415hrs. M485, responded on the initial alert as Medical Services. Job well done by all companies.
