On the morning of December 16th Engine 481 was dispatched on the Harford Co. 818 box for the report of a bathroom fire at the Holy Spirit Church in Joppa. Engine 481 responded within seconds with 4 volunteers. A fire inspector in the area called on scene and requested the second alarm to be struck. Shortly after Engine 481 arrived on scene confirming the working fire with fire showing. The engine crew stretched a line and made an attack on the fire. Engine 482 was also dispatched and was the second engine to arrive on scene covering the hydrant for Engine 481. Chief 8-2 from Joppa assumed command and the 3rd alarm was struck. Crews stopped the fire after many more lines were stretched off of Engine 481. After extensive overhaul crews cleared.
